Dave
Pearce |
Dave Pearce has been in softball for half a century, including over
20 years playing at Senior "A" level. Since his career started in 1950, softball
has taken Dave to every province in Canada and every continent of the world,
either as a player, coach or instructor.
It is an understatement to say
that softball is Dave's hobby. From running an international pitching clinic, to
directing his own Gold Medal Camps and Regina Gold Softball programs, to serving
as resident coach in Australia, he has done it all.
His expertise in all
facets of the game is unchallenged. Dave has instructed and coached more than 45
years working with national teams in Canada, Italy, and Australia. In 1990, he
took on the head coaching assignment for the Canada Games boys' team in
Saskatchewan, bringing that province its first medal ever and its only gold
medal in Canada Games history.
Dave also served 18 years developing the
National Coaching Certification Program for Softball Canada and the Australian
Softball Federation. In 1989 he was appointed Elite Skills Development
Coordinator for Softball Canada.
His tournament record of 4 Gold, 2
Silver and 1 Bronze medal, in 10 major international and national competitions
proves, without doubt, that Dave Pearce is one of the world's top softball
experts.
